Dryer ducts in the Richmond area vary a lot by house age and layout. A ranch in North Chesterfield may vent straight through an exterior wall in under six feet. A three-story townhome off Midlothian Turnpike can carry twenty-five feet of duct with two or three elbows before it reaches a roof cap. Every elbow is a place lint stops moving.

What does dryer vent cleaning cover?+

My dryer takes two cycles to dry a load. Is that the vent?+
It can be. A restricted duct run is one common cause, and it is the one we can look at. If we clean the run and the behaviour does not change, the next step is an appliance technician — we will tell you that rather than keep working on the duct.
Can you reach a roof-terminated vent?+
Usually. Many townhomes in North Chesterfield and Midlothian terminate through the roof. Tell us the layout when you request the estimate so we bring the right access equipment.
Can this be combined with air duct cleaning?+
Yes, and most customers do. It is a shorter add-on when the crew is already on site than it is as a standalone trip.
